Allsale uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and understand how the site is used. This page explains what we use and why.
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores in your browser. On the Allsale mobile app we use the platform-native secure storage (Keychain/Keystore) instead — same purpose, more secure. We refer to both as 'cookies' in this policy for simplicity.
Cookies we use
- Essential — login session token, cart contents, region/currency preference. These cannot be disabled without breaking the app.
- Functional — your wishlist, recently-viewed products, language preference.
- Analytics (anonymised) — page views, click paths, error logs. We use these to improve the product. No third-party ad tracking.
- Stripe payment cookies — set by Stripe-hosted Checkout when you pay. Governed by Stripe's own cookie policy.
- Bunny.net image-CDN cookies — used to serve product images efficiently.
Third-party cookies
- We do NOT use advertising or remarketing cookies.
- We do NOT share cookie data with Facebook, Google Ads, TikTok or any ad network.
- Stripe and Bunny.net may set their own essential cookies when you interact with payment/image features — see their respective policies.
How long cookies last
- Session cookies — deleted when you sign out or close the app.
- Persistent cookies (e.g. 'remember me') — up to 30 days.
- Analytics cookies — up to 12 months, anonymised after 90 days.
How to control cookies
- Mobile app — sign out from Account → Sign out to clear session data.
- Web — clear your browser's site data for shop.allsale.co.nz (Settings → Privacy → Cookies → Site data).
- Opt out of analytics — Account → Privacy & data → Disable analytics. Essential cookies remain on so the app keeps working.
- Do Not Track — we honour the browser's DNT signal where it's set.
Children
Allsale is not intended for users under 16 and we don't knowingly set cookies for children. If you believe a minor has used the app, email info@allsale.co.nz and we'll delete the data.
Updates
We'll update this policy as we add or remove cookies. Material changes are surfaced in-app the next time you open it. Continued use = acceptance.
